Kier carry out many major schemes as part of their HMPF contract with TfL. Often these schemes will require temporary road closures or other suspensions that require a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) under the Road Traffic Regulation Act. Again this is an area of specialised expertise where it is simpler to outsource this work to Itertek rather than train and maintain a dedicated resource to carry out this function. It is also more efficient as the order has to be physically signed and submitted to the Traffic Orders team and since we interact with TfL so often, we can do this as part of our day to day works.

In addition, we are working with Kier on Cycle Superhighway 4 which will run from Tower Bridge to Greenwich. Our role is to ensure that all TMA notifications and traffic orders are in place to allow construction to proceed and to also submit all required notifications to both TfL and the relevant boroughs as works proceed.
